PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents data recording apparatus and a contents data reproducing apparatus capable of decoding contents data even when a recording medium has got a bruise while effectively preventing illegitimate copying of the contents data recorded on the recording medium such as a CD and a DVD. SOLUTION: The contents data recording apparatus 100 includes: a block division section 102 for dividing the contents data into data blocks; a data encryption section 104 for encrypting the data blocks by using a shared key to generate encrypted data blocks; a session encryption key section 105 for using a public key to encrypt the shared key to generate shared key encrypted information; a hash value generating section 106 for generating confirmation information on the basis of a prescribed system capable of confirming whether or not the shared key is normal; and a data recording section 108 for recording the encrypted data block, the shared key encrypted information, and the confirmation information to a recording medium.
