PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a member mounted to an elevating body go through between upper/lower guide rails without contacting the guide rails while moving up/down and prevent the effective area for use of stairs from narrowing too much in a double-rail type stair lift. SOLUTION: The elevating body 3 comprises a drive gear 10 for engaging with a rack 1a provided on the upper guide rail 1, first/second upper guide roller sets 6, 7 for tracing/moving on a track of the upper guide rail 1, and first/second lower guide roller sets 8, 9 for tracing/moving on a track of the lower guide rail 2.
