PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the opening/closing of a container which houses a sanitary material or the like, to prevent dust and dirt or germs from entering the inside of the container by eliminating troublesome work of housing sanitary materials or the like, and at the same time, to prevent an antiseptic solution from volatilizing. SOLUTION: This opening/closing assisting utensil 5 has an opening/closing assisting operation section 7 on which a lid body 4 of a disposable container 1 housing sanitary materials such as an absorbent cotton is opened, and which is freely turnably attached to an opening/closing assisting utensil main body 6 being arranged on the outside of a container main body 2, and at the same time, is constituted in such a manner that the lid body 4 is freely detachably bonded to the opening/closing assisting operation section 7 by a bonding means 23. A holding means 16 of which the holding can be released holds the lid body 4 bonded to the opening/closing assisting operation section 7 under a state wherein the upper surface opening of the container main body 2 is closed by the lid body 4 by engaging with the opening/closing assisting operation section 7.
