PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing box capable of reducing defects while realizing man-hour reduction, and its production method. SOLUTION: In the packing box 1, the sides 11 and 12 of a first member 10 and the sides 21 and 22 of a second member 20 formed by punching a material such as corrugated boards have different designs on them. The packing box is formed by joining the side 11 and the side 21 in a joint place 17 and the other side 11 and the other side 21 in the other joint place 27. Identification marks 19a and 29a of the same shape and the same color or different designs are put on lower flaps 16 and 25 adjacent to the sides 12 and 21 in a direction perpendicular to the joint places. Thus, visually checking the identifying marks 19a and 29a after joining the first and second members 10 and 20 makes it possible to easily check whether or not the first members 10 are connected together or the second members 20 are connected together.
