PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation regulating device for a revolving chair in which rotation of a seat part is not suddenly unlocked and which can be easily operated even by a weak person such as a child or an aged person. SOLUTION: In the revolving chair, a support member 6 having a cylindrical base body 14 in a vertical direction and a support flange 15 extended outward from the lower part of the base body 14 and provided with a plurality of fitting holes 16 disposed on a circumference whose center is the axis of the base body 14 and opened upwards is fixed to the upper end of a leg support 5 which is made unturnable. A seat receiving member 7 having a seat part 11 at the upper part thereof is turnably attached to the support member 6 above the support flange 15 by fitting an attaching hole 17 provided on the center to the base body 14. An engaging pin 42 vertically moved with respect to the seat receiving member 7 by the operation of a lever 35 is provided, the lower end 46 of the engaging pin 42 is made to appear/retract downwards from the lower surface of the seat receiving member 7, and the lower end 46 is engaged with and disengaged from the fitting hole 16.
