A method to perform the location service in the communication system, the said method comprise: mobile location center receive the location request of other terminals through NO.7 signaling network or the TCP/IP network, authenticating subscriber controlling the location for subscriber. ON acquiring the location information of the subscriber mobile location center directly request the home location register (HLR) for the exchange address of subscriber currently roaming area. After acquiring the roaming area information mobile location center acquiring the information of the located terminal in said roaming area through own database, through directly delivery with the switch center and location terminal, the mobile location center acquiring the currently location of the subscriber, and delivery the acquired location information to the request terminal. After use the method according to the invention to perform the location service, the flow is obviously simplified, and the difference between the home location MPC and the service MPC reduced, the information of subscriber is absolutely managed by home location MPC, and there is no special requirement for the old home location register. |
