Classes 20(3) and 20(4) [Also in Group XXV] For retaining a draught excluder 6 'on a flange 5 a spring clip is formed from a strip of metal 1 which has cut away portions 2 by folding along the lines A, B so that the cut away portions 2 provide channel shaped slots which fit over the flange. As shown in Fig. 5 the ends 3 are narrower than the remainder of a portion 2 and are shaped to provide flange engaging teeth 4. Prongs 8, 9 are also formed to engage the draught excluder the edges of which are gripped between the sides of the portions 2 and the flange. In Fig. 9 the aperture is of uniform width and parallel slots 10 receive the edges of the draught excluder. As shown in Fig. 18 transverse flange engaging slots are cut from one side of the strip and prongs 47 are formed between the slots.</p> |
