<p>A method for fitting hinges, and other fittings, to doors and windows with a hollow construction has a support block held inside the hollow space via pins, or other fasteners, set across the frame. The block is securely held by more two or more fasteners. The hinges and other fittings are secured by threaded fasteners secured into the block without the risk of compressing the internal insulation in the frame. The design is applicable for fixed and movable frames.</p> |
