The food processor for preparing pastry products has a heated jug (8) with a stirrer (10). It is fitted with a main microcontroller and a second microcontroller fitted with an interface for a remote control and a non-volatile memory for remote communication of data and modifying it in dependence on remote signals. An independent claim is included for a method for preparing food using the processor.
