FIELD: wood-working industry, in particular, machines for longitudinal sawing of wood. ^ SUBSTANCE: the machine has a frame, formed by longitudinal guides with e a device for attachment of log, gantry including vertical posts, whose upper ends a coupled by a cross-piece, and the lower ends are fastened on longitudinal beams with front and rear supporting wheels, cross-arm installed for movement along the vertical posts of the gantry and having driving and driven saw pulleys with a band saw stretched on them, the rotary drive of the saw pulleys, and a sawing value adjustment mechanism. The beams are positioned on the longitudinal guides of frame and provided with a pulley drive. As a minimum one of the rear supporting wheels as a minimum of one of the longitudinal beams has a pulley, a bearing platform is positioned on the longitudinal beam above it, and the gantry moving drive is made in the form of an electric motor with a reduction gear installed on the bearing platform, its pulley through a V-belt is connected to the pulley of the rear supporting wheel. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability of machine operation due to the smoothness of travel of the gantry and reduced specific quantity of metal per structure. ^ 3 dwg
