FIELD: plastics welding, namely manufacture of articles by butt welding of thick thermoplastic blanks with use of electrically heated welding tool. ^ SUBSTANCE: blanks are placed in such a way that their welded surfaces by means of hands of operator are rested upon jaws of vertically arranged heated slide of stationary posistor welding tool arranged on table until softening blanks. Blanks rest upon mutually opposite jaws in such a way that torque is not created in slide and by means of small effort sufficient only for removing air from space between softened ends. Then said surfaces are quickly spaced from slide and abutted for creating butt joint due to solidification at cooling. In order to realize it, blanks are shifted from slide along table desk and they are abutted while hands of operator rest upon table or slide is removed form gap between blanks and the last are mutually approached by their surfaces to be welded. Different procedures for realizing the method are offered in description of invention but welding tool always is fixed until softening welded surfaces. ^ EFFECT: possibility for making parts by welding thick blanks due to heating with use of welding tool only those surfaces of parts that are subjected to welding. ^ 3 cl |
