The holder has an injection device (5) to project compressed air on a smooth lateral wall (31) of a wood mortising tool (3) along a preset angle so that the air flows along a surface of the wall. The air is then forced to circulate along a single direction, below a lower end (32) of the tool, to rise again between a lateral wall of the tool and a wall (M2) of a mortise (M), and to drive wood chips produced by work outside the mortise.
