Planar article or case 1 has three integral panels 2, 4 and 7 of similar shape and size. Panel 7 is joined to panel 4 by foldable portions 8 which are connected by extension panel 9. Outer panel 2 and inner panel 4 represent a greetings card with front face 3 and message face 5. On face 12 of panel 7 is holding means 13 for a disc such as a CD or DVD. This is a rigid panel with a recess 14 and central resilient engagement 15. Face 10 of panel 4 may be releasably attached to face 11 of panel 7 by adhesive, double-sided tape, magnets or hook and loop fasteners to hide the disc from the card's recipient. When panel 7 has been released from panel 4, panel 2 can be folded over panel 4 so that the article resembles a standard DVD container (figure 4). In an alternative, panel 2 is attached to the top edge of panel 7 instead of to panel 4. The case 1 may be heart shaped, triangular, circular or bottle shaped. |
