Glass, e.g. for motor vehicle windows carrying enamel motifs, coatings to cover fixing adhesives or masking electrical connections, uses enamel constituents that do not exceed 1000 ppm and 10 per cent by weight of the glass, and do not create a modification of more than 0.5 per cent in the light transmission capacity of 4 mm sheet glass when recycled, compared with glass not containing enamel. The composition of the enamel is such that the recycling does not cause a variation in dominant wavelength of more than 3 nm or more than 0.4 per cent in colour purity; it contains essentially no fluorene, Bi2O3 or SnO2, and its pigments are based on iron/manganese oxides.
