Switching module comprises an integrated switching circuit (1) mounted on a base plate (4) and surrounded by a protective composition (3), and a discrete component (2) having a protective sleeve (7) to protect the discrete component during production of the protective composition. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of the switching module.
