<p>An energy transfer device comprises a cylinder connected to a reservoir containing water. First and second pistons are connected to each other by a fixed connecting rod and the pistons are mounted in the cylinder. A pocket is associated with one of the first and second pistons and the first and second pistons are positioned in a first position so that the pocket receives a buoyant object. The pistons are moved to a second position so as to release the buoyant object into the reservoir, the movement of the buoyant object rising to the surface of the water contained in the reservoir providing a driving force.</p> |
