The use of a composition obtained by a process comprising a stage of percolating water vapour at a pressure of at least 3 bars through one or more oxidizing agents and/or one or more reducing agents in solid or paste form for the decoloration of keratinic matter or for the permanent deformation of keratinic matter. - Independent claims are included for: - (1) a composition prepared in the claimed manner; - (2) a method of decoloration of keratinic fibers by applying the composition; and - (3) a storage device for a cosmetic composition comprising a closed housing defined by at least one wall at least partially permeable to a fluid under a pressure of at least 3 bars and containing the reducing and/or oxidizing agent in solid or paste form.
