The process involves positioning plaster bands on a patient`s body (C) that is maintained in a seated position on a support frame having supports. The body is maintained in the seated position on the supports using elastic parts (410, 420) that wrap the parts of the body whose impression must be taken. The bands are maintained under tension and placed on the wrapped body parts. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a process of taking impression of a body of a patient in seated position.
