Use of an extract (A) of kombucha in cosmetic or dermatological preparations for shaping, firming and tightening the female breasts, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the production of extracts (A) for use above, involving fermenting a kombucha infusion tea with bacteria and yeasts; and (2) extracts (A) obtained as above, containing organic acids (e.g. acetic acid, gluconic acid, lactic acid, other hydroxyacids (e.g. citric or tartaric acid), succinic acid, malonic acid, oxalic acid and glycenoic acid), enzymes, proteins, tannins, lignan hydrolyzates, flavones, saponosides, phytosterols, steroids, sugars, minerals, volatiles and various other constituents such as caffeine, theobromine, vitamins and usnic acid. ACTIVITY : Dermatological. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Adipocyte proliferation stimulant.
