<p>The preparation can be used for methadone therapy in addict patients for extending the therapeutic potentials and discovering new methadone programmes. It ensures complex effect by the administrationof only one preparation, which is of particular importance with a view to the patients' special psychological set up. It comprises methadone and dry extract of St. John's wort, standardized after hyperacine in ratio from 1:1 to 1:10. With the preparation, according to the utility model some of the side effect of the methadone are eliminated, such as constipation, nausea and vomiting, metabolic impairment, the side effect of the methadone on sexual desire and behaviour is reduced, there is synergic effect on the central nervous system without any risk of additional suppression of the centre ofbreathing, depressive conditions are affected and worry is reduced, and physiologic sleep is improved.</p> |
