The installation has a passive transponder (1) and a transceiver (5) associated to wheels of a vehicle. The transceiver is connected to a control unit (7) which is connected to a speed sensor by a data bus (8). An antenna of the transceiver is placed near an antenna (3) of the transponder so that magnetic fields transmitted by the transceiver are received by the transponder to transmit and receive energy and data signals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method of bidirectional transmission of signals in a motor vehicle (B) a tire pressure measuring system having a transmission installation.
