摘要 <p>The device has two identical prisms (A, B), and a plate (C) with parallel sides. The prisms have fast axes that are parallel to each other and to edges of the prisms. The axes of the prisms are perpendicular to a fast axis of a plate. A variable retardant effect is created, according to relation position of the prisms. The plate has same birefringence as cornea, and axis of the plate is perpendicular to that of the cornea. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method of compensating corneal birefringence in examination of parts of an eye situated beyond cornea (B) an in-vivo tomography system for examining an eye, including corneal birefringence compensating device.</p>
