A jacket (14) is integrated at its one end (15) to the cushion and cooperates at its other end with two retractors (18, 18) integrated to the seat support, in a manner that the jacket is supported on top of the body of a rider when the device is in a closed position. An independent claim is also included for an amusement park installation comprising a seat that has a rider retaining device.
