Oil separator includes an inlet (12) chamber (11) with overflow into a separation chamber (17) having a siphon pipe (19) leading up from its base. This rises up and over (20) to discharge into a heavy fluid drain. The separation chamber has a light fluid outlet (18) at the top. A new feature is the inlet funnel (14). Suction caused by the siphonic pipe system (19) induces flow into the funnel, causing swirl, which concentrates the light fluid inside the swirling region. |
