PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of easily preventing a decrease in the generated amount of ion with simple constitution and improving usability. SOLUTION: This air conditioner 1 having an ion generator 8 at a blowoff port 13, is provided with a cleaning part 30 having a magnetic substance 31 with a cleaning implement 22 sliding along an ion generating face 8a of the ion generator 8, a guide part 34 for guiding the magnetic substance 31 movably through a shaft extended from the magnetic substance 31, and electromagnets 32, 33 arranged at both ends of the moving range of the magnetic substance 31 to attract the magnetic substance 31 by current application. The ion generating face 8a is cleaned by the cleaning implement 22 by reciprocating the magnetic substance 31 by alternate current application to the electromagnets 32, 33.
