PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detector of a supercharger that can accurately detect the rotation speed and rotation position of a compressor with low cost. SOLUTION: A position sensor 27 is buried in a part of a housing 41 opposite to a blade 15a of a compressor 15, and is mounted and fixed so that the surface of the sensor 27 is flat with the inner wall of the housing 41. The position sensor 27 is formed of a magnetic sensor of a suitable method. The material of the blade 15a of the compressor 15 contains magnetic material. Therefore, when the blade 15a rotates about a rotating shaft 42, the magnetic field varies in a part through which a projecting section 15b of the blade 15a passes. The position sensor 27 detects the rotation speed and rotation position of the blade 15a by detecting the variation of the magnetic field occurring when the projecting section 15b of the blade 15a passes through the opposite part.
