PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deciding operation frequency for operating a power brush of a vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: In a method for deciding operation frequency in a power brush of a vacuum cleaner, mechanical frequencies f2, f3 of a driven section having an elastic means (36) which gives considered elastic force to a brush body (34) which makes reciprocating motion in a considered angle area and turning of the brush body and a driving frequency f1 of a driving section (22) which drives the driven section are matched, or one is set higher (or lower) than the other by specified quantity and the driven section is made resonate.
