The invention relates to a linear-movement device which can work in a bidirectional and stepwise manner and in which a slide (30), for example for a tool carrier, is transported along a straight line. At the same time, a conveyor band (19) is deflected at the ends of a bar-shaped basic body, so that the conveyor band (19), moved in opposition in two parallel planes, pulls the slide, firmly connected to the conveyor band, along outer faces of the basic body. The present patent application relates to an improving development of German Patent Application P 3816601, in which at least one steel cylinder (121, 122) is provided along one outer face of the basic body and three running rollers (131, 132, 133), rolling on such a steel cylinder in the longitudinal direction, respectively carry the slide, planes of rotation of the running rollers passing preferably through the geometrical axis of the steel cylinder and their fixed shafts being mounted on the slide. <IMAGE> |
