Anaerobic waste water treatment plant with low-pressure distillation discharges gas to external gas cooler

In a biological waste water treatment process biogas is generated in a thermophilic anaerobic biogas reactor. The biogas emerging from the fermenting suspension is discharged directly to an external gas cooler. The resulting condensate (6) is discharged as clean waste water. The gas moisture and the quantity of condensate increased by reduced pressure in the gas chamber. The reactor head through which the biogas emerges and the gas cooler (2) is at a higher temperature than the rest of the reactor. Part of the fermentation suspension is tapped to the desalination module and then back to the reactor.
