<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing abrasion detector capable of adjusting zero point by detecting the radial position of a rotor under operation stop state of a canned motor. <P>SOLUTION: Radial position detection coils R1, R2 and R3 are wound over the entire circumference for each of three tooth parts located at a constant interval among tooth parts of a stator. A high frequency signal is applied from a high frequency power supply 62 to the radial position detection coils R1, R2 and R3. Inductance of the radial position detection coils R1, R2 and R3 applied with a high frequency signal is detected by an inductance detecting means 82. A radial position detecting means 84 detects the radical position of the rotar from the inductance of the radical position detection coils R1, R2 and R3 thus detected.
