<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a certificate confirmation method, by which a user can easily and more accurately discriminate the authenticity of a certificate en the certificate is printed, at a place other than an organization that issues certificates, and to provide a certificate confirmation program and the certificate. <P>SOLUTION: A certification management system 20 generates and records a hash value from data of certification contents to produce a certificate code containing the hash value. The certification management system 20 transmits data of the certificate code and the certification contents to a printer 30. The printer 30 prints the data on a paper sheet which is watermarked for copy prevention and issues a certificate P. When a portable telephone terminal 40 reads the hash value of the certification code of the certificate P, the portable telephone terminal transmits the hash value to the certification management system 20. The certification management system 20 compares the hash value from the portable telephone terminal 40 with the hash value that is recorded at production, and transmits to the portable telephone set 40 information on regarding the authenticity of the certificate P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
