<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely weld flange parts narrow in width when manufacturing a liquid tank by welding two panels at the flange parts, and to enlarge the capacity of the tank, which is installed in a prescribed space for tank installation. <P>SOLUTION: An upper panel 203 for a liquid tank is put on a lower panel 200 for a liquid tank, and an upward flange part 204 is superimposed on a downward flange part 201. Next, a superimposed part 206 composed of both flange parts is melted by irradiating the part 206 with a laser beam from a laser beam source 216, which is set outside in the width direction of the downward and upward flange parts, so that a penetration section 207 extending in the width direction of the downward and upward flange parts is formed between the flange parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
