PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating cycle device having excellent mountability by shortening a hot gas by-pass passage without impairing a heating function. SOLUTION: In this refrigerating cycle device, the hot gas by-pass passage 150 by-passing a condenser 120 from the discharge side of a compressor 110, with a refrigerating cycle 101 as a base is provided, and a discharge gas refrigerant from the compressor 110 is allowed to flow to the hot gas by-pass passage 150 side by changeover means 161, 162 and to flow into an evaporator 140 after reducing pressure to carry out a heating mode using the evaporator 140 as a radiator of the discharge gas refrigerant. The downstream side of the hot gas by-pass passage 150 is connected to the upstream side of an expansion valve 130, and a forcible valve opening means 170 is provided for forcibly putting the expansion valve into the open state.
