PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve recording density of a magnetic disk without reducing a S/N ratio of a reproduced signal in a magnetic disk, a magnetic recording and reproducing method, and a magnetic disk apparatus. SOLUTION: This is a magnetic disk in which a signal is recorded and reproduced by a head of which the azimuth angle is varied in accordance with a radial position. The disk is provided with a first recording region consisting of a track for which recording is performed by an azimuth angle of the prescribed value or less, a second recording region consisting of a track for which recording is performed by an azimuth angle larger than the prescribed value, and an overlap region in which adjacent tracks are overlapped in the radial direction.
