PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent Java(R) applications from hanging up when a memory volume used is about to exceed a management capacity. SOLUTION: An application controller having an application manager for managing starts and stops of applications, and a virtual machine for actually controlling the applications comprises a reading means for loading the applications, an application management means for managing the applications loaded by the reading means, an application information storage means for storing information about the applications, and a communication means for allowing the application manager to send and receive data and instructions with the virtual machine.
