ACOUSTIC BOUNDARY WAVE DEVICE

An acoustic boundary wave device (1) using an acoustic boundary wave of SH type. The devise effectively suppresses unwanted spurious and have a good resonance characteristic and a filter characteristic. Electrodes including an interdigital electrode (3) and reflectors (4, 5) are provided at the boundary between a first medium layer (2) and a second medium layer (6) formed on the first medium layer (2). A sound absorbing layer (7) is formed on the opposite surface to the boundary surface of the first and/or second medium layers (2, 6).
