PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a destination and to easily search a route in an on-vehicle information system. SOLUTION: This on-vehicle information system 10 guides the route for a vehicle on a map displayed on a screen based on the present position of the vehicle and the destination. In the on-vehicle information system, a display condition is provided to display the present position of the vehicle and a search point concurrently on the map displayed on the screen, when setting the search point desired by a user, in a prestage for setting the destination, and a relation between the present position of the vehicle and the search point in the display condition is grasped to set the propriety of using the search point as the destination.
