PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a verification method capable of facilitating the verification of an electronic signature and an electronic certificate having conventionally needed much load imposed on information processing. SOLUTION: A verification station receives the electronic signature and verifies the electronic signature and the electronic certificate in advance before a document created by a user 1 and electronically signed reaches a user 2, and transmits the document to the user 2 together with the verification result. Thus, the system for utilizing the electronic signature adopting the electronic signature verification method can facilitate the verification of the electronic signature and the electronic certificate.
