PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk playback apparatus which can play the music of same or similar quality continuously when two or more pieces of music are recorded on one disk. SOLUTION: The disk playback apparatus is provided with; a disk D in which two or more kinds of music files to which different extensions are given according to kinds of compression systems are recorded; priority providing means 15, 21, 22 and 23 which provide priorities for each extension attached to the music files; readout means 11, 12, 13 and 15 which read from the disk the music files with the extensions of higher priorities given by the priority providing means in order; and a playback means 24, 25, 26a, and 26b which play back the music files read with the readout means.
