PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional humidifying apparatus wherein moist air produced in an outdoor humidifying unit is fed into a room through a duct, which causes dew condensation in the duct, and an idea of humidifying the whole interior of the room makes the humidifying apparatus large-sized and increases power consumption, and furthermore the propagation of mold and various germs on the dew condensation formed in the duct causes anxiety over the influence on health. SOLUTION: This humidifying apparatus is composed of an adsorbing means for adsorbing moisture in the air; a heating means for heating the adsorbing means; an air blowing means 5; and an intake port 2 and an exhaust port 3. The adsorbing means is formed on the surface of the heating means and has an adsorption mode and a desorption mode. The adsorbing means is put in a non-heated condition in the adsorption mode and is put in a heated condition in the desorption mode. The moisture in the air taken in from the intake port 2 by the air blowing means 5 is adsorbed by the adsorbing means in the adsorption mode, and the desorbed moisture in the desorption mode is exhausted from the exhaust port 3.
