PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot air heater of high usability by allowing a user to easily confirm timing when the user can perform cleaning in safety by demounting a louver in a state that an inside temperature is low, in the hot air heater having the detachable louver. SOLUTION: This hot air heater comprises a main body 1 of the hot air heater, a heat source 2 mounted inside the main body 1, an inside temperature detecting means 14 for detecting a temperature inside the main body 1, a hot air blowout port 5 formed on the outer face of the main body 1, the detachable louver 7 mounted on the hot air blowout port 5, an operation display part 3 composed of a plurality of switches for various settings and a display unit for displaying the operating state of the heat source 2 and the like, a multicolored display unit 3a mounted on the operation display part 3, and a control means 16 for allowing the multicolored display unit 3a to perform display while changing display colors between the case that the inside temperature detected by the inside temperature detecting means 14 is higher than a prescribed temperature and the case that the detected inside temperature is lower than the specific temperature.
