PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and easy-to-use pump device high in maintainability and low in energy consumption, in which the need to open a cover of a pump is eliminated when checking display content of a display output means for displaying an operational status and an abnormal status of the pump device, and for performing input to an input means for operation setting. SOLUTION: A communication means using infrared rays is disposed to the pump device, and an infrared ray remote controller having a communication procedure shared with the pump device is disposed outside the pump device, so as to enable mutual communication therebetween. Therefore, the need to open the cover of the pump can be eliminated when performing the operation setting of the pump device and checking the operational status and abnormality status of the pump.
