PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint seal material of caissons capable of maintaining an impervious state by also corresponding to a rapid opening of a joint by an earthquake or the like. SOLUTION: The joint seal material 10 is so constituted that a cylindrical body 11 is equipped with an anchoring section 12 and a connecting cut-off plate section 13, it is fixed to the end face 1A near the outside 1B of one caisson 1 with the anchoring section 12 and, at the same time, that the front end edge of the connecting cut-off plate section 13 can be fixed to the outside 1B' of the other caisson 1' to put it on the joint section 2.
