PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the fractionation efficiency of combustible matter in fluidizing fractionation. SOLUTION: The apparatus for the fluidizing fractionation of pyrolysis residue has a vertical superficial container having a rectangular cross section, a pyrolysis residue supply passage for supplying the pyrolysis residue formed by pyrolyzing waste into the superficial container, the fluidizing gas jet orifices formed to either one of the base and side wall of the superficial container to eject a fluidizing gas for fluidizing the pyrolysis residue, the first discharge port provided to the top part of the superficial container to discharge the fluidizing gas and the particulate material accompanying the fluidizing gas and the second discharge port provided to the bottom part of the superficial container to discharge the fractionation residue of the pyrolysis residue. The leading end of the pyrolysis residue supply passage is positioned in the fluidized layer formed in the superficial container to enhance the fractionation efficiency of combustible matter.
