PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method to remove a gingiva from a tooth. SOLUTION: The method executed with a computer to detach the gingiva from the tooth comprises a process to determine a severing surface along the gingiva, and a process to provide the tooth with the severing surface to detach the gingiva from the tooth with single severance. In one embodiment, the severing surface curves. In another embodiment, the severing surface is expressed with a function. In another embodiment, the severing surface is expressed with a spline function and a quadratic function. In another embodiment, the severing surface is expressed with a spline function and a parabolic function. Moreover, in another embodiment, the severing surface is adjusted reciprocally.
