PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snare for an endoscope capable of certainly fastening an acaulescent polyp or a torous mucosa by a snare loop so as to cause no slip, easy to manufacture and excellent in durability. SOLUTION: In the snare for the endoscope constituted so that an operation wire 2 is inserted in a flexible sheath 1 to be arranged so as to freely advance and retreat in the axial direction of the flexible sheath 1 to connect the snare loop 10 formed of an elastic wire 11 to the leading end of the operation wire 2 and the operation wire 2 is allow to advance and reatreat axially in the operation part 20 connected to the base end of the flexible sheath 1 to allow the snare loop 10 to go in and out of the leading end of the flexible sheath 1, a slide tube 4 comprising a flexible tube freely slidable in the axial direction of the flexible sheath 1 is loosely fitted outside or inside of the flexible sheath 1 and a jacket tube advance and retreat operation means for allowing the slide tube 4 to advance and retreat relatively with respect to the flexible sheath 1 in the axial direction is provided to the operation part 20.
