PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen gas supplying method and apparatus which enable the safe supply of oxygen by considering the biological information on the oxygen partial pressure (PaO2) and the carbon dioxide partial pressure (PaCO2) in the arterial blood pertaining to the amount of oxygen necessary for the patients in various actions and situations. SOLUTION: In the oxygen supplying device which supplies the patients with the oxygen sent from the oxygen supply source 10 through a gas supply means, a measuring means 23 is provided to measure the concentrations of the oxygen and the carbon dioxide in the arterial blood of the patients and a control part is provided having a processing means 16 which carries out the arithmetic processing using the measured values of the concentrations of the oxygen and the carbon dioxide in the arterial blood determined from the measuring means. The amount of the oxygen to be supplied to the patients from the oxygen supply source is controlled to increase or decrease according to the direction given to a flow rate altering means 2 by the control part based on the processing by the processing means.
