The differential housing (18) accommodating lubricated drive and output elements (17, 19, 20, 22) is enveloped by a corrugated sleeve (26) made of a material capable of leading the heat created inside into the surrounding space, preferably of aluminum. The straight outer edges of the sleeve (26) are permanently joined to the housing (18) either by folding them (28) around the corresponding areas or by inserting them into recesses (29).
