PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use data stored in an external memory installed to a portable information terminal on a personal computer without requiring intentional operation of a user.

SOLUTION: In Figure, a structure of a prescribed directory of a storage part of the personal computer synchronized with an MS of an installed state to a PDA is shown. In a lower layer of the directory 551, MS folders 552-1 to 552-3 respectively corresponding to different MSs are provided. The MS folder 552-1 is provided with a static image folder 553, a moving image folder 554 and a sound folder 554 similarly to the MS. The MS folder 552-1 is recorded with an update information management file 556. This information processor can be applied to an information processor such as the personal computer connected to the portable information terminal such as the PDA.
