PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image developing two-component developer which does not cause deterioration of electrostatic properties and toner fluidity due to burying of an external additive in toner particles, can maintain toner fluidity, chargeability, developability and transferability at the same time in any environment over a prolonged period of time, and ensures little wear of a cleaning blade and an electrostatic latent image carrier, and to provide an image forming method by which an image of high image quality can be formed. SOLUTION: The electrostatic latent image developing two-component developer comprises a toner and a carrier, wherein the toner includes toner particles including at least a binder resin and a colorant, and an external additive, and this external additive includes composite resin particles containing inorganic particles.
